As General Manager of Kingsford pub The Regent Hotel, Jessica Ng is a long way from her native Canada. After graduating university Jessica made a beeline to Sydney. That was fifteen years ago, “I loved it here” says Jessica, “So I stayed.”
With an outgoing personality Jessica easily fell into hospitality. “It was perfect. I love interacting with people and hearing their stories. Even after all these years I still love it” said Jessica.
This passion is felt throughout The Regent, a friendly pub with a lively atmosphere, where an eclectic group of locals mix and feel right at home, whether they’re a tradie finishing work, a student dropping by, a sports lover or a group of friends on a night out.
“This is a fun pub with something for everyone, every day and night of the week. We’ve got live sports, board games, pool, a beer garden you can relax in, and on Thursday nights, our famous ‘Reg-aoke’ fires up. Sixteen years it’s been going for, and still hugely popular.”
Also popular is the delicious selection of food the kitchen has on offer. Monday to Thursday you can enjoy the $15 rump steak, Tuesdays offers a generously sized schnitzel for $16 including a beer, and you can even join a Pizza Club for great deals on pizza and drinks.
‘Drop in and say hello, there’s always something going on’ Jessica smiles ‘we’ve got a wide choice of beverages, amazing cocktails too! Really great food and we’re open late’.
